Upwards and on, to Comic Con

Well, then. Here we are at last.

Hot - well, warmish, off the presses is my brand spanking new and spanking comic book Proscenium - best described as an anthology of Strange Stories. That and so much else besides will adorn my table at London Super Comic Con at the end of this very week.

As well as Proscenium, there will be copies of The Grinning Man and Nature Red; my two stand alone ghost story comic books, available too.

What else? Well, my second fan book - The Vault of Such; containing the collected art from the Vampire Variations series a while back plus various other illustrations from video games to classic horror movies, will be available alongside my remaining pair of custom painted shoes - Dragon Ball Z pair A. This pair is UK size 8. Prints, and Mike Read has Beautiful Breath; my strangely titled first fan book containing illustrations from video games, cartoons, and such, shall be available also.

So - if any of the above tickles your proverbial pickle; then my table, and indeed the rest of Artist's Alley, may be for you.

Cold Feet

They've been a loooooong time coming - but finally here are not one but TWO brand new pairs of Dragon Ball Z custom painted shoes. As the first pair a few years ago was "Saiyan Saga" themed; these new ones are themed on the Freeza Saga. (Yup, Japanese spelling, get over it.)

Pair A

The first pair is based on the first half of the Freeza Saga (commonly known as Namek Saga) and features Freeza (First Form), Vegeta (Battle Damaged), Krillin, Gohan, Zarbon and Dodoria.

Pair A is unisex and is UK Size 8.

Pair B

As you've probably already guessed, Pair B is based on the latter half of the Freeza Saga; primarily being the climactic battle between Freeza and Goku. This pair pays homage to that duel on the (very slowly) erupting planet Namek; and features Freeza (Final and 100% Final forms) and Goku (normal and Super Saiyan form).

Pair B is unisex and is UK size 10.

Both pairs are unique and hand-painted with fabric paints. Only one pair of each design exist and only one pair of each design shall exist. They are both available for purchase through my Etsy Shop.

So, if you feel like embarrassing the neighbours on your morning stroll, pop these over your toesies!!

London MCM Comic-Con May 2013

Well, well, well....it's that time of year again already.
Yup, MCM Expo (or Comic-Con as it's now known) arrived with yet another May bank holiday weekend of unpredictable weather, raging seas of people and 'free hugs' signs.

However, for me there was one small difference - I was seeing all this from the other side.

No, no - I'm not saying I'm dead. But for once I was sat behind a table, among fellow budding artists, illustrators and comickers - enjoying my first London Expo as a member of the Comic Village.

As you may have seen in the aforementioned posts, my new products this time around were another pair of custom painted shoes; Dragonball Z themed, a new custom painted t-shirt; Totoro themed and some new art prints - two Star Wars portraits and a bizarre Regular Show illustration. The Universal Horror and the Fan books returned, as well as The Grinning Man (which I here tell that Orbital Comics have long since sold out of! Not to worry - more on the way - thank you to those who shelled out their hard-earned cash for them) so all in all - not a bad haul with which to face the teeming crowds.

Thank you to all who purchased prints, small drawings, shoes, t-shirts, books and the like. I hope to see you all at the next Comic-Con in October, and maybe - just maybe - you have decided to attend the London Film and Comic Con this July, in which case I may see you there.
